Alkali Scientific Cetrimide Agar/Mannitol Salt Biplate Plate, 10/Pk
Cetrimide Agar / Mannitol Salt Agar Biplate is a dual medium plate designed for simultaneous screening of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. The divided plate format allows two selective media to be used within a single petri dish, increasing efficiency during microbiological testing. The Cetrimide Agar section selectively isolates Pseudomonas aeruginosa through the inhibitory action of cetrimide and promotes production of characteristic pigments such as pyocyanin and pyoverdin. The Mannitol Salt Agar section contains high sodium chloride levels that select for staphylococci while differentiating organisms based on mannitol fermentation. Staphylococcus aureus typically produces yellow colonies due to acid formation. This biplate system allows laboratories to screen samples for both organisms simultaneously while conserving incubator space and materials.

Alkali Scientific Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) Slant 11mL Screw Cap Tube, 10/Pk
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is a widely used general purpose medium for the cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds. The formulation contains a high concentration of dextrose and an acidic pH around 5.6, creating conditions that strongly favor fungal growth while inhibiting many bacterial contaminants. This 11mL slant format provides a deeper agar volume than standard slants, helping maintain moisture during long incubation periods that fungi often require. The extended agar depth reduces drying and supports stable culture maintenance over time. Thyroglobulin is a 660 kDa dimeric pre-protein with multiple glycosylation sites. It is produced by and processed within the thyroid gland to produce the hormone thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Prior to forming dimers, thyroglobulin monomers undergo conformational maturation in the endoplasmic reticulation. The vast majority of follicular carcinomas of the thyroid will give positive immunoreactivity for anti-thyroglobulin even though sometimes only focally. Poorly differentiated carcinomas of the thyroid are frequently anti-thyroglobulin negative. Adenocarcinomas of other-than-thyroid origin do not react with this antibody. This antibody is useful in identification of thyroid carcinoma of the papillary and follicular types. Presence of thyroglobulin in metastatic lesions establishes the thyroid origin of tumor.
